In this short video from Boehringer Ingelheim Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis shared in September 2014, Professor Vincent Cottin from the National Reference Center for Rare Pulmonary Diseases in Lyon, France talks about how excessive coughing impacts the lives of patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).
Cottin explains that as IPF progresses, patients will find they have a persistent dry cough. The coughing eventually becomes so bad that it begins to affect everyday life for patients, with many abstaining from social events or even going out because they are embarrassed about their cough.
