When you suck in your tummy, you’re putting the same pressure on your ribs and diaphragm as when you’re hunched over. This forces short, shallow breathing, and doesn’t allow you to release the necessary carbon dioxide from your lungs.

Deep long breaths made a difference I feel better , I will not forget this feeling from deep breathing it will be repeated often daily.
Will someone let me know if. Walking on treadmill 5miles a day shortened my. Husbands life after doing that a week then he died
Wow how could that be , he died after the treadmill? Too fast on it? Not stretching first?
Ihave severe copd and i can’t believe the differance in me with the deep breathing i feel so much better wish i had done it a long time ago. And it is hard to concentrate on it but well worth the trouble to make sure u do it right.
Learnig to breath properly and “making it a habit” was the most difficult part of learning to control and manage COPD for me . . and it’s been well over a score of years since my emphysema diagnosis, over a decade since the COPD diagnosis and there are occasions I have “anxiety or even stress attacks” because I can’t pull in that breath I need !
IS THERE ANYONE WHO REALLY KNOWS HOW TO IMPROVE LIFE WHEN ONE HAS FIBROSIS IN THE LUNGS.I WOULD BE GLAD OF ANY HELP AS NOW LIMITED TO GOING SHORT TRIPS IN CAR WITH AND STOPPING AS CLOSE TO DESTINATION AS POSSIBLE AS WALKING IS VERY DIFFICULT.NEED TO STOP AND REST EVERY 50 YARDS
